I finally got my first chance at cultural exchange with people from the U.S. My sister's nephew is in Kindergarten and is reading a book called "Flat Stanley". Flat Stanley is a children's storybook character that was flattened by a bookshelf who now uses his paper-thinness to his advantage. He mails himself to see all of his friends and how they live.
I was asked to take part in this and document some of the things I do throughout my day. I went to the municipality offices, my shopping centres, did some laundry, and played with some kids amongst other things. I posted them online:

I really enjoyed doing this because I like doing these sort of artsy projects and I got to share a little more about my experience. I may start chronicling some of my projects in a similar fashion. First one will be "Flat Stanley Plays Volleyball" which will start with practicing and match play and culminate in a local tournament (I hope). I am looking for opportunities other than my blog to connect with people back home so if any readers have some ideas feel free to share them.
